Write Mind ("we", "us", or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
What We Collect
- Account information — your email address and password (hashed) when you register.
- Writing data — the story content you create within the app. This is stored securely and is private to your account by default.
- Usage data — anonymous analytics about how the app is used (e.g. levels completed, session duration). No personally identifiable information is included.
How We Use Your Data
- To save your story progress across sessions.
- To generate AI feedback and personalised writing prompts using your current writing. Your writing is sent to OpenAI's API for this purpose only — it is not used to train AI models.
- To improve Write Mind's features and performance.
AI & Third-Party Services
Write Mind uses the following third-party services:
- OpenAI — to generate personalised prompts and feedback. Your writing is sent to OpenAI only to produce your in-session feedback. See OpenAI's privacy policy.
- Pexels — to fetch short video clips used as visual prompts. No personal data is shared.
- Base44 — our hosting and database platform. See Base44's privacy policy.
Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. Your writing is yours — we will never share it without your explicit consent.
Data Retention
Your account and story data is retained as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your data at any time by emailing hello@writemindcoach.com.
Cookies
We use minimal cookies necessary for authentication and session management. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
Your Rights
- Access the data we hold about you.
- Request correction or deletion of your data.
- Withdraw consent at any time.

Children's Privacy
Write Mind is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
